Red dot sights are hardly rare, but finding one with great features can be tough. The best way to do this is to stick to the brands with great reputations. We have looked at the Vortex Optics Strikefire II Red Dot Sight a little deeper to help find out what some of the great features are and perhaps help you to make a decision on whether or not you need to give it a shot.

Review
One of the first things that many people will do is compare it to the StrikeFire 1 from Vortex and once we do this, you can have the scope look much better than it actually is. Compared to the first version, the Strikefire II has some additional upgrades that include the option of selecting a green do if you feel the need to have one.
It might not be one of the sights that you would depend on your life on, but with a few features that enhance your vision and accuracy, it works well for target shots and potentially even hunting. However, we recommend it for hunting at shorter ranges to ensure that the red dot is not overcompensating, while not accommodating bullet drop.
The weight of only 7.2-ounces makes it much lighter than many of the other top options on the market today. It will fit any rifle with the Picatinny and Weaver mounting features. With the cantilever mount that has been included with the scope, many people have mentioned the possibility of simply sliding it onto the rail.
The brightness setting is one that many people have been worried about. However, Vortex has come to the fray and delivered a product with 10 different brightness adjustments for the shooter. All of this is powered by a CR2 battery, allowing you to have a backup when you need it for longer stints outdoors or when hunting.
One additional feature that not many people know who even owns the scope is that 2 of the brightness settings are night-vision compatible. Don’t get me wrong, this scope does not have night vision and you will need to have your own goggles. However, the brightness can be dimmed down quite low to make it ideal for those that have night vision.
In terms of the battery life, it will vary depending on how often you use it with the batteries added. The average span of the CR2 batteries in this scope is generally around 6,000 to 7,000-hours. It is worth noting that the sights will automatically shutdown and helps to preserve some of the batteries if it has not been used for 12-hours. One of the features that I would have liked to see is an auto-on feature for when moving around d with the sights.
Moving on to the optics, you will notice that the glass has been multicoated for this scope. Additionally, the objective lens is a massive 30mm, which is far more than most of the sights used for close quarter shooting. Once you connect it to the magnifier, you can basically get some added distance and control for your vision.
While we might have broken down these sights as primarily ideal for the night, they do serve a massive purpose during the day. Not only does it have improved magnification, but also the multicoated optics tends to block out some of the rays from the sun. The only downside is that you might lose the green reticle on certain landscapes.
Lastly, the sights are fairly durable for use as a hobby. They are not made for taking a lot of punishment and we have not found any instance of it being used on the shotgun. For most of the common tasks that you will be doing, the Vortex Optics Strikefire II Red Dot Sights will have your back and ensure you can hit your target effectively.

Is The Vortex Optics Strikefire II Red Dot Sight Worth Buying?
One of the first things you will need to ask yourself is what your purpose is before buying this sight. Not only does it have some great features, but not all the features are recommended for every shooter. The sight is designed for an entry-level shooter, not willing or wanting to spend a fortune on a new red dot sight.
Fortunately, it does not command an expensive price, which definitely makes a massive difference for most people. The sight has the capability of improving your shooting, and with additional night vision, you can use it with your night vision goggles. A limited lifetime warranty has been included from the Vortex Company.

Nothing makes you look more like a combat professional than having a great sight on your rifle.
